Happy Halloween!!

Our Halloween started on Friday, at Dylan's school. I volunteered in the classroom in the morning, and helped the kids carve jack-o-lanterns.
Then, right before the end of school, there was a big costume parade. All the classes stood outside in a huge circle, and each teacher lead their class around the circle while they played "spooky" music. The kids loved it.

Here is Dylan & his best friend Aidan, waiting impatiently for the parade to start.

On Saturday we went to visit Grandma and Grandad so they could see how cute the costumes were.

Awh, I love the way they look at each other.

It was a fun day! Dylan loves Halloween...I love Halloween because it means Christmas is almost here!

Halloween Horror Nights...

Universal Studios for Halloween. What could be more fun?!

We were chased by chainsaw-wielding pigs, knife-wielding Michael Myers characters, pickaxe swinging coal-miners and scary clowns that squirt water, all while Rob Zombie music is playing in the background. We walked through mazes that were set up like all the scary movies, and even smelled scary. Oh and let's not forget about Chucky. Yes, that creepy little guy had the pleasure of scaring me several times throughout the night.

We had a blast!! I didn't even bother bringing my camera, because I knew most of my night would be spent screaming and running!

Tuesday 10-20

Another date with Dylan!!

Madison and Cody stayed home, and I picked up Dylan and took him to the movies. We saw Where the Wild Things Are, and it was so great!! Of course I cried, and when I asked Dylan if he cried, he says "Mom, it was just a movie!!"

Halloween-time at Disneyland!

Yep...just another Disneyland blog.

Today we had Grandma watch Madison so that we could spend the day with Dylan. We haven't been able to focus on only him since Maddie has been born, so we thought it would be fun to take him to Disneyland and go on all the rides he wanted to, and just have a fun day.

This is California Adventure...

At the end of the day we stood in the middle of Main Street with about 54,983 other people, and waited an hour for the fireworks. They were special for Halloween, and they were amazing!! They may have been the coolest fireworks I have ever seen. I didn't take pictures because I had to pick up my 50 pound son so he could see over everyone's heads!!

It really was a great day. I think Dylan really enjoyed having us to himself for the whole day. We will definitely do this more often.

Halloween is almost here...

And I decided to get a little into the spirit!

Dylan & I watched "Goosebumps" and made blueberry muffins...and I turned on all the Halloween decorations and lights.

I just LOVE the Holidays!!

Random Cuteness...

They just can't get any cuter!!

When it rains, it pours....

Well we were planning to let Dylan skip school today, to take him to Disneyland. We were going to have Grandma babysit Maddie, so we could devote the entire day just to Dylan. So clearly I was slightly annoyed when it rained...for the first time in over 6 months. I'm not sure why it just had to be today, but alas...it is what it is.

We decided to let him stay home from school anyway, and we decided to take Maddie to Grandma's anyway, and we went to see "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs". It was a cute movie, and Dylan really liked it. He giggled through the whole thing.
Then, Dylan somehow convinced Grandma that she should watch both kids, so that Cody & I could go see "Paranormal Activity". Jeremy met us there...he's my scary movie partner. The movie was awesome, and probably the most creepy movie I've ever seen.

So it ended up being a pretty great day, anyway. What better way to spend a rainy day than watching movies with your loves?

And Grandma still offered to take Maddie this Saturday, so Disneyland is back on!

Family Pictures!

I've been wanting to have our family pictures taken for so long! Cody's wonderful friend Noa offered to do them for us, because he is just so sweet!

So of course wouldn't you know, this is the morning that Madison learned how to take ribbons out of her hair, and decided to be extra demanding!

Here are most of the pictures...there are a few that are still secret.

It's Fall!!

I love fall. It's finally cooler, the leaves are falling, the holidays are almost here...oh yea, and I just love going to harvest festivals.
Today we went to the Underwood Family Farms Harvest Festival in Moorpark. We've gone for the last few years, and it's so great! It's huge, and there is tons of fun stuff to do. They have a live band playing all day, food stands, games & activities, animals, and the cutest little country store ever.

First we all got lost in the corn maze...

Then we all played on the huge pyramid of hay...

After we took all our pictures, it was time to pick out pumpkins. Dylan decided that we needed to bring home all the sad-looking pumpkins. I now have a batch of mis-colored, mis-shapen pumpkins with warts! Happy Halloween!!
