My Wonderful Little Guy

Reason #999 why I love having a little boy...

I'm not feeling well today, and Dylan was being sweet, as usual, by offering me a piece of his KitKat. Yes, my little boy knows the way to make a girl happy starts with chocolate.
Anyway, I told him no thank you, I'm watching what I eat. He gave me the most darling face ever and said "Mom, why are you on a diet, you're perfect just the way you are!"

Ah, music to my ears. I think he learns his chivalry & sweetness from Cody.

I love my boys!

The Drive-In

I haven't been to a movie in almost 8 months!! I love going to movies, and that is such a long time for me! Then the brilliant idea came to me...the drive-in!! Dylan was at his Dads for the night, and Madison would sleep right through the movie, and if she cried, no one would even care!

This place is a diamond in the rough. I'm so happy we decided to, because I had a great time!

If you live in L.A., you should definitely check this place out. The neighborhood is so-so, but the theater is in an industrial area, and it's just a huge parking lot with 4 huge screens, and a snack bar. It's always a double feature, and it's only $8! Vineland Drive In.

We started at one screen and watched Halloween 2, and then drove to another screen and watched Final Destination 3. We brought our own snacks and blankets, and had the perfect date night!

The Happiest Place On Earth!

Yep, you guessed it. We went to Disneyland again today. It was our friend Dawn's birthday, so we had to help her celebrate!

It was a beautiful day, not too hot, not too cold, and it wasn't busy at all!!

Speech for the Students...

Wow, this speech has caused quite the uproar! I don't usually talk politics, but I must take a moment to vent, because I've been thinking about this all day.

Today was my first day volunteering in Dylan's second grade class. I was wondering if they were going to show the speech, and I was happy to hear they were! Dylan's class went into a 5th grade classroom to watch. All the kids sat there and paid close attention to the most important man in the United States talk about how important an education is. It nearly brought me to tears. It was amazing, watching my little boy soak it all up...I could tell by the expressions on his face, he was inspired.

So I must ask...why are all these parents SO pissed off? Why wouldn't you want your child to hear how important it is for them to get an education? Why would you let such a positive and uplifting experience make you so angry? It's this type of ignorance that sets our nation back...and then people wonder why our children turn out the way they do??

Newsflash...if you're so against your kids being told to study hard and go to school, chances are that your kids are the country's future dropouts.

Shouldn't parents care more about what their children are doing EVERY day of the year, as opposed to just this one?

I may not agree with every decision he makes, but I strongly agree with this one. He can have my phone number and call my kids every single day to tell them how important school is.

T&A Wedding...

Todd & Andrea, that is.

This was the most amazing & intimate wedding I have ever been to. It was so personal, so sincere, and it had "T&A" in every little detail.

Here's a little peek...

It wouldn't be a wedding without the smashing of cake!

I couldn't think of a couple more in love, or more deserving of each others love.
Congratulations Todd & Andrea!!

Her Future's So Bright...

Even the littlest of girls should be fashionable. So when I saw these sunglasses, I thought how perfect they would be for her to wear during our walks.

This pretty much tells the story...

PhotobucketWe hate the sunglasses.

She quickly figured out how to take them off, and they turned into her favorite toy. Go figure!
