Christmas Tree Huntin!

It's a tradition in my house to buy our Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving. It's one of my favorite things to do every year!

Yep, I'm the Mom that tortures her children with cute little Christmas outfits, all month long. Maddie loves it, and Dylan...torture.

The Christmas Tree lot had a little petting zoo, with ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, and newborn pigs. The kids loved it, and Maddie chased the chickens & ducks around the pen trying to pet them.

Later that night, we had our friends Dominic and Lucy over to help decorate our beautiful tree...

Hope everyone is having an amazing Holiday Season!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

Over the next month or so, I am going to inundate you with Holiday pictures. Pictures of the tree, the decorations, the kids, the presents...you name it, if it has anything to do with Christmas, I'm going to have it on my blog.

Tonight...the Christmas tree is all decorated! We had a great time doing it, and I've been enjoying it every night since the day after Thanksgiving.

Loving it all!

Black Friday...

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Christmas...so much, in fact, that I start my Christmas shopping in August. Doing this ensures that I spread the cost of it all over 5 months, instead of doing it all at once...and it also ensures that I will not be one of those crazy people who are pushing and shoving in the mall on Christmas Eve to get the gifts that I waited until the last minute for.

This year when the black Friday ads started rolling in, I noticed that Toys R Us was going to open at 10pm on Thanksgiving night! There was only 1 thing that I needed to get to finish up my shopping for the kids, and it just so happens that it was almost 1/2 off. So, I decided to be brave and attempt to do it. My sister and I got there at about 9pm. The line was a little long, and it was freezing (for LA anyway), but we grabbed our cart and got in line. By 9:50 the line was through the entire parking lot, and apparently down an entire city block.

The people in front of us invited their friends and family to join them in line, so when my good friend Tracy got there and the line was already out of the parking lot, I told her to come up and join me. The finally started letting people in, in groups of about 50, and we made our way in and through the store completely unscathed. We got exactly what we were looking for, everyone was friendly & on their best behavior, and it wasn't a bad experience overall! Well...until the part in the parking lot when we couldn't fit the huge box in the car and had to call the boys to meet us and help make it fit!

The next day, the actual black Friday, we went out again. And again we noticed that everyone was nice and friendly, and I didn't even think the stores were crazy crowded. I just might try it all again next year!

xoxo

That's all. Just some Holiday cuteness from my little Maddie.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We all had such a great day! My little sister Heather and her boyfriend Kyle drove in from Arizona, and we all went over to Grandma & Grandad's house, as usual. We all had a good time...ate all day...watched football...caught up on each other's lives...drank wine.

We had such a good time, in fact, that the only 2 pictures I took were these 2...

This year, as well as all others, I really have so much to be thankful for. My wonderful husband & beautiful children, who make me who I am...the rest of my amazing family, even those who are far away...my health...my awesome job...it's been a great year, and I'm hoping next year is just as amazing. Love you all!

The Holidays Are Here!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...really!
Christmas-time is my absolute favorite holiday season all year.
We started out our favorite season at, where else, Disneyland. I had to be there the very day they started their Holidays. The lights, the smells, the fireworks, the snow...it's the perfect way to start the holiday season.

We all had a great day, but of course we couldn't spend just one day at Disneyland...we will be there again next weekend for more Christmas fun!
