Happy 2-week-early Birthday, Cody!!

Cody's a special man. By special, I mean that he thinks he's special enough to celebrate his birthday for an entire month.

This year I threw him a pool party at Andrea & Todd's house...our amazingly awesome friends. There were lots of friends, lots of pizza, oh and I can't forget the JELL-O shots!! We all had a great time, and I managed to wake up with no hangover!

Princess...

It seems like ever since she learned to walk, she hasn't slowed down. She's just growing so fast! Here are some pics from a recent trip to Disneyland...

I wanna be a billionaire....

I'm a blog abandoner...it's true. Here's something that should have been posted like a month ago.

Cody took Dylan to his first concert ever!! Travie McCoy opened for Rihanna at the Staples Center, and he gave Cody tickets and backstage passes. Dylan got to skip the entire line to get in, then he got to go hang out with Travie in his trailer, and then watch the concert from great seats!

Back To Work!

Best, BEST, best day ever!! I can't even put into words how excited I am to be working again...so I'll keep this short & just say...I can't wait to go back tomorrow!!

Things are happening!!

Well first of all, I start a new job on Monday. I'll be doing what I do best...production accounting! And even better, I'll be doing it for a company that I admire and have been wanting to work for for a while now. For those who don't know, production accounting is a freelance position. This position is no different, and I'll be on this specific project for 5 weeks. Then hopefully turn around and move right onto another show, and again, and again....
I have a lot of faith that this company will just keep re-hiring me and that I will have the chance to grow here and be here for a long time. I can't even tell you how excited I am to be going back to work!!!

There are other things happening in the Mac house, but I'm going to be super mysterious and leave it at that...just for a little while. Sssshhhhhh.....

All in all, things are awesome, and going exactly how I want! Hopefully it stays this way!!

Wedded Bliss!

Today we attended a beautiful wedding...a wedding we have been anxiously awaiting! Congratulations Corey & Debbie! So now it's official...I have a sister-in-law!!

Debbie asked me on Christmas Eve if Madison would be her flower girl, and I couldn't have been more excited!! Wait, did I mention she was no where near walking at that point? Well, let me also mention that she didn't even take her first step until about 2 weeks before the wedding!! I'm pretty sure she knew that she had to learn, and fast, so she could make her grand debut! Every little girl should have her opportunity to be a flower girl, and we're honored that they wanted her! At 1 year old, even! She really is quite the little Princess!

The wedding was beautiful. I started crying well before the ceremony even began. First, I spent a few minutes with Corey and his groomsmen, which of course included Cody, who, if I may say, makes quite a handsome groomsman. Corey was so excited to marry Debbie, he didn't seem nervous at all. Then, I went to see the beautiful bride, and all her bridesmaids. Debbie looked just stunning from head to toe. She was posing for pictures, and she looked like she should be on the cover of a bridal magazine.

A little about the ceremony...Madison looked like a little angel walking down the aisle, and I couldn't have been more proud. When Debbie started walking down the aisle, I looked at Corey and could see the tears in his eyes...then I looked at her and could see the tears in her eyes. They couldn't have been more in love!

The reception was beautiful, the dinner and drinks were awesome, and Maddie danced all night long! I wish I would've taken more pictures, but we were having so much fun, and of course chasing Maddie around! Here are the few that I did take...

Toy Story 3!!

Being total Disney Fanatics, we have been anxiously awaiting this movie to come out!! And we went to our favorite place to watch Disney movies...the El Capitan!

Before every movie here, they have a man that plays Disney music on the organ. Then the manager comes out and talks to the audience quickly. This time he was talking about a contest they had going on. 4 free tickets to Disneyland if he called your seat number. We won!! We already have passes, but 4 of our favorite friends will soon be getting an invitation to Disneyland!!

Photobucket

Anyway, the movie was great, and afterward, we walked over to the "Toy Story 3 Theme Park". What's that? That's the other reason I just had to see the movie here. The El Capitan borrowed the back of Hollywood High School's property to set up a miniature theme park, based on the movie. It was amazing.

We had a great time! On the way home, Dylan says, "Now I remember what it's like to be an only child...I kinda like it." I guess we'll have to do a "Dylan Day" more often.

Happy Fathers Day!

Ok, first, I want to say Happy Fathers Day to all the special Daddy's out there...

Especially mine...
Photobucket
He's a pretty special kind of Dad. I haven't had a lot of super great role models in my life growing up, but my Dad definitely is. He's a hard worker, a good parent, and a good husband. Everything I strive to be in my own life. I may be a McCarthy, but I'll always be a Miller.

And Grandad...
Photobucket
I've always adored this man, and even more I've always adored being his favorite. Since I was tiny he has loved to spoil me with chocolate sundaes and shoe shopping. And now that I'm grown-up, I love watching him with my kids, his great-grandkids. They are lucky to have a relationship with him, and they have officially taken my place as "favorite". His motto is "You're at Grandads, you can do whatever you want over here...even if that means chocolate for breakfast!

And my Cody...

I'm glad I chose him. He's special. He didn't have the option to just be with me & date & have fun before we got married...he had to jump right into my crazy world of parenting...and he did without ever looking back. And to top it off, he gave me the most beautiful baby girl I've ever seen!!

Since Cody had to work on Father's Day, we went to visit! Well...Maddie & I did, and Dylan spent the day with his Dad. Cody loves showing Maddie off to all his friends, it's the cutest thing.

And another of the many reasons I love my Cody...
This Fathers Day he gifted himself...tattoos!!

I was touched by the whole thing, but mostly that he would get both of their names. I can't say that I know many men that would get a child's name tattoo'd on their body if they didn't share any genetic traits. Did I mention what an amazing Dad he is?
