A few weeks ago (because of course this blog is late), we spent a few of the most glorious days ever at the most beautiful Hotel Del Coronado. It was my Dad & Step-mom's 20th wedding anniversary, and such an honor that they came all the way from Houston to spend it with us.
Of course I documented our entire trip in pictures...
This is the bridge we had to cross in order to get to the island. I'm scared of bridges. And this was a long one.
This was one of the views from our hotel room. It was just breathtaking.
The other view from our hotel room. I've seen pictures of this hotel before, but in person it's just amazing.
Since we were so close to the beach, that was the first place we went. Maddie has only been to the beach once, when she was barely walking, so I was excited to see how she would react. The girl has no fear. She just ran right toward the water. Here she is with Dylan and my sister Sarah.
My little waterbaby...
This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole weekend.
Sarah found a real-live sand dollar.
One minute she's walking peacefully in the sand, and the next minute she is chasing a seagull.
And chasing...
And chasing...until it flew away...
Hand-in-hand. Or shall I say wrist-in-hand. He's trying to keep her from running away.
She led her Grandpa right to the shark boogie board, that she wanted to steal.
These are also a few of my favorites. Maddie & her Grandpa, walking on the beach.
The view from the back of the hotel. Couldn't be more gorgeous. I could live here.
That night we walked to a little italian place for dinner. It was uh-maz-ing. Penne A La Vodka. Mmmmmmm...
Here is the happy couple...
The beautiful couple...with the GOLDEN WIENER!!!
Golden Wiener enjoying a glass of vino...
Oh yes, chocolate cake...
The next day we went to Seaport Village. It was such a cute place. First we stopped for lunch at this place right over the water. The view was gorgeous.
After lunch we walked around Seaport Village & did some shopping. 1st stop...hammock shop!
While everyone else was laying in the hammocks, I caught a glimpse of how they package the hammocks....
It looks dirty, doesn't it?! Hahaha.
Family picture with my frizzy beach hair...
My boy...
Awwwww...
